How do we better listen to our audience? How do tell the stories of our community WITH them, not just for them? How do we turn our sources into storytellers? First newsrooms need the will to think about audiences differently, but then they need the right tools for the job. This session will explore how innovative strategies matched with tools are building community and authentically connecting impacted members to be a part of our journalistic process. Beyond clicks and likes, this panel will go beyond digital solutions and get into real-life case studies that you can take away and use today.

Organised in association with the Agora Journalism Center, the gathering place for innovation in communication and civic engagement, at University of Oregon's School of Journalism & Communication. Additional support was made possible through a generous grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
