Doing investigative journalism requires skill, tenacity and a sixth sense of where to go to get results. The same could be said of acquiring the funding to do investigative journalism.

The panel will provide an overview of institutional funding available for investigative journalism, with a focus on three major European players:

David Kaplan will give an overview of global funding for investigative journalism, based in part on his research for the Center for International Media Assistance, and also talk about various grants and fellowships that are available to journalists worldwide.
