Ahmad Rafiq Awad is one of the founders of Palestinian radio and TV, and a member of the Council of Palestinian Culture. He has been a professor in the Media and Television Department of the Al Quds University in Jerusalem since 2001. He has won a variety of awards, including Arab Journalist of the Year in 1996 (awarded in Cairo) and Best Writer in Arabic in 2003 (awarded in Amman). His first work translated into Italian was published by Edizioni Q in 2012, Il paese del mare.
