Marco Rizzo is an award-winning cartoonist and graphic novelist. He is the editor of Panini Comics. He has written for the Italian daily l’Unità and for ANSA, Giornale di Sicilia, La Sicilia, Mamma! and L’Isola Possibile. He has drawn the cartoons for the graphic novels on the lives of Ilaria Alpi, Mauro Rostagno, Peppino Impastato and Che Guevara as well as adapting into cartoon form the book Gli ultimi giorni di Marco Pantani. He is the author of Supermarket Mafia (2011) and L'invasione degli scarafaggi. La mafia spiegata ai bambini (2012), an illustrated book with cartoons by Lelio Bonaccorso. His cartoons have been translated for publication in France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Spain. He writes the blog thewarbulletin.
