Investigative Reporting Project Italy

Matteo Civillini is a freelance journalist and member of Investigative Reporting Project Italy (IRPI), a centre for investigative journalism based in Italy. After obtaining an MA in Investigative Journalism from City University London, he joined the Italian bureau of VICE News. In 2015 he completed an investigation into the conflict of interest of arms procurement in Botswana, together with a local journalist. In 2016 he co-authored an investigation into the interests of Apulia mafias in online gambling, which was published by Il Fatto Quotidiano. He has written for VICE News, Agence France-Presse, OCCRP, Correctiv and Rivista Undici.
