The next festival – the 20th edition – will take place in Perugia from Wednesday 15 to Saturday 18 April 2026.
Kindly note that the 2026 festival will last 4 days (instead of 5 days as in previous years), finishing round midnight on Saturday. Italian-language sessions which used to take place on Sunday will be scheduled on Saturday afternoon and evening. The Sunday programme (the fifth day) will be eliminated completely. The English-language programme will be unaffected, remaining concentrated on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
As in previous years, all 2026 festival sessions will be free entry for all attendees, without tickets and without the need for registration (with a small number of exceptions where registration will be necessary, such as the clinics).
Regarding proposals for inclusion in the 2026 full festival programme, the deadline for receipt of proposals is 31 December 2025. Details on how to make proposals will be posted on the festival website in due course.

The 2025 festival which took place earlier this month was the best yet, a view held in apparent unanimity. We are proud to have hosted such a remarkable gathering of speakers and attendees from all over the world.
Regarding 2025 festival content, each ijf25 speaker has the photos and video(s) of their session(s) included in their speaker profile. And each ijf25 session has its photos and video included in its programme page. There are a few exceptions to this, due either to session structure or specific speaker requests.
We look forward to welcoming the festival community back to Perugia in April 2026. A big thanks to everyone who helped to make the 2025 festival so memorable.
