To what extent has the Sicilian mafia infiltrated the German economy? An ambitious project, possibly the first extensive German research into the matter, has with an innovative format unveiled how Germany was chosen by the Agrigento mafia as an investment haven. Called Mafia in Deutschland, the investigation unites cross-border research by Funke Mediengruppe, Der Spiegel, WDR tv, IRPI and Grandangolo, the local paper of Agrigento.
