A practical session to end the day, we encourage all journalists (including broadcast, writers, photographers and beyond), editors, and news managers to relax into this hands-on workshop that presents tools to strengthen psychological safety and build resilience. Guided by experiential techniques alongside useful tips for understanding and talking about emotional wellbeing, participants will learn evidence-based strategies for self-care when exposed to traumatic stress or graphic content, when experiencing situations of anxiety or burnout, or in preparation for a potentially emotionally difficult assignment.
