Diego Agúndez is the head of the Multimedia and News media sector at the Directorate-General for Communications Networks Content and Technology at the European Commission. This sector provides support to news media and aims to increase citizens’ access to quality news content across the Union. Diego joined the European Commission in 2012.

Prior to this, he worked as a correspondent in South Asia for a period of six years. He has authored different books and publications in both India and Spain.
