Francesca Silvani
Francesca Silvani is Senior Director of Programme Effectiveness & Policy of Internews.
She began her career as a radio, television and online journalist, mainly for the BBC. She has more than a decade's experience managing media projects in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, promoting democracy and human rights and has worked with a wide range of international organisations, including the Panos Institute, Amnesty International, the Media Institute and Oxfam. Prior to joining Internews, Francesca worked with Article 19. She has a Bachelor's degree in Russian from the University of London. Francesca is a British national and speaks English, French, Italian and Russian.
