Ivan Dompé

Ivan Dompé has been Telecom Italia’s Head of Institutional Communication since 17 November 2014.

After graduating in Economics, Economic and Social Sciences at the Bocconi University, he started his professional career in 1996, firstly as an account executive, then account director at Ketchum, where he worked on institutional communication for various clients in the technology and TLC, tobacco, manufacturing, finance and media sectors and institutions, mainly working in media relations. He was also responsible for relations with network offices and editor of the quarterly magazine, Compass. In 2000, he became senior associate at Burson Marsteller, where he was responsible for the definition and implementation of communication plans for technology clients. At the end of 2000, he moved to Pirelli, where he held positions of increasing responsibility at the Group’s press office: press officer for the Cables and Systems Sector, Pirelli Labs, Pirelli Ambiente and Cam Tecnologie (until 2003); Head of Corporate Press Office (until 2004) and Head of Foreign Press Office.

In 2005 he joined Edison, where he was Head of Media Relations and Internet Communication. He was also editor of Switch magazine and lectured in the Burson Marsteller Master in Business Communication course. In 2008 he moved to Luxottica as a Group Corporate Communication Director. Reporting directly to the CEO, he was responsible for defining and implementing internal and external corporate communication strategy. In 2013 he joined the YOOX Group as Financial and Corporate Communication Director. Reporting to the Founder and CEO, he was in charge of setting up the department with particular focus on media relations, internal communications, external relations and CSR. Since 2007, he has also been responsible for a lecture module in the Master in Media Relations at the Cattolica University. In 2014 he moved to AbbVie as Communication Director, with the task of defining and implementing internal and external communication strategies.
