Simon Allison is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of The Continent, Africa’s most widely distributed newspaper, with subscribers in 130 countries. He has spent most of my career as a foreign correspondent, reporting on the world from an African perspective and for African audiences. In 2022, he was shortlisted for the One Young World International Journalist of the Year award, and was named as one of New African magazine's 100 most influential Africans in 2021. He was previously the Africa Editor for the Mail & Guardian, and has served on the boards of the Foreign Correspondents Association of Southern Africa and the Adamela Trust.
