Zeyad Salem

Zeyad Salem is a multimedia journalist, creative director and storyteller based in Cairo, Egypt. He has an MA in multimedia journalism (broadcast) from the University of Westminster in London, United Kingdom (a Chevening alumni). He was a news producer for OnTV and a founding producer for CBC Extra, two of the leading television channels in Egypt. An enthusiast for diversity in all its forms, Zeyad has worked on multimedia projects in Germany, Greece, Lebanon, Turkey and the UK. He is a founding member of the Cultural Innovators' Network (CIN), a cross-cultural network of artists, civil society professionals, and activists from the north and south of the Mediterranean. Zeyad is also a documentary filmmaker. His debut short documentary as a one-man-crew Else premiered at the BFI-Flare LGBT Film Festival in London (2017), and was the official selection for festivals in Hong Kong, Ukraine and South Korea.
