Alan Friedman

journalist and author

Alan Friedman is a journalist, TV presenter, author and producer specialised in the field of business and politics. He graduated from New York University and has studied also at the London School of Economics and Political Science and the John Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (Washington). He has written for The Financial Times, The International Herald Tribune, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. He has created or presented the following programmes on Italian TV; Maastricht Italia (RAI 3), Mr euro (RAI 3), I vostri soldi (RAI 2) and La nuova via della seta (LA7). He has won the British Press Award a total of four times and was awarded the Medaglia d'Onore by the Italian Parliament. His books include Il bivio. L'Italia a metà strada tra crisi e transizione (1996), Ammazziamo il gattopardo (2014) and Questa non è l'America (2017). His latest book is Dieci cose da sapere sull'economia italiana prima che sia troppo tardi (Newton Compton Editori, 2018)
