Kate Thomas is a British-American journalist, editor and researcher. She lived in West Africa for seven years, including three years in Liberia, where her stories and long-term projects for The Independent, BBC, Reuters and UN agencies looked at healthcare systems, refugee rights and the arts. She is the managing editor of Ebola Deeply, an independent digital media project led by journalists and technologists that explores a new model of storytelling around a global crisis. Ebola Deeply works to build a better user experience of the story by adding context to content, using the latest digital tools of the day.
