Patrick Waterhouse is editor-in-chief of COLORS magazine, a monothematic magazine founded in 1991 and published in six bilingual editions.

Since 2006 he has been working with Fabrica, the Benetton Group’s communication research centre, publishing a fully illustrated version of Dante’s Inferno, art directing United Colors of Benetton's social campaign, Africa Works (2008), and guest editing COLORS issues Welcome to Vörland (71), Transport (81), Shit (82), Happiness (83), Apocalypse (84) and Going to Market (85).

Since 2008 he has also been working with Michael Subotsky on Ponte City, a long-term project that won the Discovery Award of the 2011 Rencontres d’Arles Photography Festival.

Patrick’s work has been exhibited at numerous venues including the Design Museum in London, the South African National Gallery, the Goodman Gallery, Art Basel, The Daimler Chrysler Collection and The Walther Collection and has been published in the worldwide press.
