Peter Geoghegan is editor-in-chief and CEO at openDemocracy and a founder member of The Ferret, an investigative journalism co-operative based in Scotland. He previously worked on investigative television for Channel 4. His journalism has appeared in numerous international titles including the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Guardian and the London Review of Books. His most recent book, Democracy for Sale: Dark Money and Dirty Politics, was published in August 2020 by Head of Zeus. His previous book, The People’s Referendum: Why Scotland Will Never Be the Same Again, was nominated for the Saltire First Book Award.
