Simon Rogers is data editor at Twitter in San Francisco.
Author of data journalism bible Facts Are Sacred (published by Faber) and a new range of infographic books for children, he was previously (until April 2013) editor of The Guardian‘s Datablog and Datastore, an online data resource which publishes thousands of raw datasets and encourages its users to visualise and analyse them — the world's first data driven news website. He was also a news editor on The Guardian, working with the graphics team to visualise and interpret huge datasets. He was closely involved in key Guardian data stories including the Wikileaks war logs and Reading the Riots. Simon has won the Royal Statistical Society's award for journalistic excellence in the use of statistics.
