Svetlana Reiter is an investigative reporter working in Moscow for a variety of print and online publications. She is special correspondent for Esquire Russia and a correspondent for Bolshoi gorod (“The big city”) and colta.ru among others. Svetlana’s most recent work has focused on the criminal, social and the political, following the ups and downs of the protest movement, the Pussy Riot trials, the arrests from the Bolotnaya Square demonstrations, and torture in the Caucasus. She is the 2013 Paul Klebnikov fellow, a title awarded in honour of the assassinated pioneer of Russian investigative journalism.
