Advocacy journalism has become a genre in itself, transparently adopting a partisan, yet factual viewpoint for social purposes.

Organizations other than media outlets are recruiting journalists in order to produce high-quality works of videojournalism on issues that are neglected by traditional journalism, perhaps filling a gap, certainly providing an alternative and positioning themselves as relevant voices in the media landscape. This may end up further blurring lines between the work of journalists and other actors, likely opening room for new kinds of collaboration, even new formats. Possibly, with new ethics lines to be drawn.

Today's journalism deals with data, fact-checking, visualizations. Are journalists able to fulfill their mission while providing fact-based arguments for advocacy? When the bias is intended, what are the risks?
