Social networks and journalism: crisis management, information gathering, publication of news and related legal and professional ethics risks.

Social networks represent a great opportunity for newsrooms, especially in the case of particularly destabilizing events such as a terrorist attack or a serious act of violence. Through them, in fact, you can both manage informations and find new and updated, not to mention the ability to immediately provide further details on situations through publication of instant news. This activity, however, is not free from legal and professional ethics risks, especially regarding the processing of personal data contained in the profiles of social networks.
