The news industry pivots from tackling one fundamental challenge threatening our very existence to another. It is also fair to say that we have seen some of these things coming but not been able to act quickly enough to do anything about it - either because we don't have the resources, the know-how, the buy-in or circumstances dictate. Journalism in the future needs to solve an over-reliance on funders to get important work that we have identified done, it also needs to learn how to properly adapt successful concepts that work in other places to home markets. Technology is also there to support us in this work and collaboration is no longer a dirty word. This panel will discuss and present case studies that start to set out how we might create the right environment for change at a scale that ensures our survival and success.
