All newsrooms are striving to be innovative, distinctive and relevant at a time of change and uncertainty across the media landscape. These principles shape the content that newsrooms produce, and the business and revenue models which underpin them. This panel will highlight examples of innovation, the implications for content creators and business structures, and how these lessons can best be shared, including via newsroom training and academic programs.

The panel will not only share learning about current and emerging sources of revenue for journalism. It will also explore barriers to knowledge acquisition, particularly outside Europe and North America, and the challenges posed by a lack of region- or market-specific case studies, and the lack of a network to communicate this knowledge.

The session will conclude with an audience-led discussion, which will allow participants to work with the panel generate - and share - ideas for sharing knowledge, as well as new ways of doing things.
