Guilt, shame, anger, vicarious trauma, moral dilemmas… these are some of the many challenges that journalists are increasingly grappling with. This panel will address the growing psychological load journalists experience, how you can support yourself and others.

We will hear from two journalists' own experiences and focus on the concept of moral injury - how it is defined, what impact it can have on journalists and how newsrooms can protect their staff from it. Anthony Feinstein will present his research and explain why he considers moral injury to be the next big challenge for investigative journalism. We will discuss how we can address this growing issue and provide the professional support needed to recover and thrive.
