Newsrooms globally are amending their editorial strategies to reflect their specific audience needs. At the time of writing, there are at least 15 models since the first one of its kind was introduced by the BBC World Service in 2016. User needs models exist on local, regional, national and international levels as well as in niche media. Developing one for your brand will positively impact your output, grow engagement and deepen loyalty. In this session, we’ll share our learnings from adopting various models of user needs globally and perhaps inspire you to create one for your own newsroom.
