Alessio Conforti was born in Rome and started his career working for the United Nations in 2003 where he acted as Resource Mobilization Officer. Following an MBA at London Business School and a PhD in Economics at the University of Rome, he joined the European Investment Bank Group in 2008. Since then, he has worked in the department dedicated to the financing of SMEs and Mid-Caps. Since 2013, he has been the Adviser to the EIB Vice President.
