Amie Ferris-Rotman is Moscow correspondent for the Washington Post. She has previously reported from across Russia and the former Soviet Union with Foreign Policy magazine, The Wall Street Journal and Reuters. She is also the founder of Sahar Speaks, a journalism programme providing training, mentoring and publishing opportunities for Afghan female journalists. For this she won the 2015 Georgina Henry Women in Journalism Award. She was Reuters senior correspondent in Afghanistan, and was a JSK Journalism Fellow at Stanford in 2014.
