Annika Joeres

climate and environment reporter CORRECTIV

Annika Joeres is climate and environment reporter of the German non-profit independent newsroom CORRECTIV which does investigative journalism in the public interest​.

Annika deals with environmental issues at CORRECTIV from the south of France, often across borders. She has received several nominations and prizes, including the Franco-German journalist prize, for her research on climate-damaging money invested by the federal states and on rising sea levels worldwide. She used to be deputy head of the taz in North Rhine-Westphalia, later correspondent for the Frankfurter Rundschau and Berliner Zeitung in Düsseldorf. In addition to her work for CORRECTIV, she also writes as a freelance author for Die Zeit and the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, among others.
