Anthony Faiola is the Washington Post’s Berlin bureau chief, covering Germany and beyond. Faiola joined the Post in 1994, since then reporting for the paper from five continents and serving as bureau chief in Tokyo, Buenos Aires, New York and London. From Washington, he has also covered global economics and the U.S. financial crisis. Faiola grew up in Connecticut and Florida, graduating from Florida International University in 1990 and beginning his journalism career under the South Florida sun at the Miami Herald.
