Carlo Antonelli

Carlo Antonelli is editor of the Italian edition of Wired. He was editor-in-chief of the the Italian edition of Rolling Stone from 2003 to 2011. From 1990 to 2003 he worked as general manager of the Sugar record company. He has published several articles and papers in Italian and international publications, such as Flash Art, Domus, Abitare, Vogue Italia, Purple, O32, Fantastic Man and the following essays: Discoinferno (1995, also published in a new updated version in 2006) and Fuori tutti, both of them written with Fabio de Luca. Carlo Antonelli also edited the collection of essays Gli anni Zero (2009). He has been a visiting lecturer in the Sociology of Conventions at Bologna University since 2006. Currently, he teams up with the ASK (Art Science and Knowledge) research center of the Bocconi University in Milan. In 2006 he founded the cinema production company First Sun that produced the movie Io sono l'Amore, directed by Luca Guadagnino with Tilda Swinton. The movie was presented worldwide (film festivals in Venice, Toronto, Sundance, Berlin and elsewhere) and was a candidate at the Golden Globe Awards (best foreign language movie), Academy Awards (best stage costumes) and Bafta Awards (best foreign language movie).
