Carlo Verdelli

Carlo Verdelli is the editor of La Repubblica. He was appointed in February 2019.

Previously, he was direttore editoriale per l'Offerta Informativa at RAI from 2015 to January 2017, when he resigned after the rejection of his news plan by the RAI Board. He began his journalistic career at La Repubblica. In more than 30 years as a journalist he has held many prominent roles, including deputy editor of Epoca, editor of Sette, editor of Vanity Fair and editor of the Gazzetta dello Sport.

He is the author of I sogni belli non si ricordano (Garzanti, 2014). In 2019 his latest book will be published by Feltrinelli entitled Roma non perdona. Come i partiti si sono ripresi la Rai.
