Clive Edwards is Commissioning editor for current affairs at the BBC dealing with 170 plus hours a year of both in-house and independent productions across all four channels. He is also executive editor on the in-house Current Affairs department responsible for the flagship investigative strand Panorama and the foreign affairs strand This World as well as landmark series like Secret Pakistan, Ten Years of Terror and Panorama: Undercover Care - The Abuse Exposed. He began his career at Thames TV in 1987 as a researcher then producer on This Week. From 1993 to 2001 he was producer then deputy editor of Panorama. From 2001 to 2007 he was editor of the BBC Money Programme and executive producer of Andrew Marr's History of Modern Britain.
