Dayana Sarkisova

Dayana Sarkisova is the editor of The Washington Post's Climate Solutions section, within the Climate and Environment team. The vertical focuses on coverage of the people and organizations working to solve our biggest environmental challenges. Dayana joined The Post in 2019 as a travel editor, and before that, worked as an editor at Vox Media and ESPN. Dayana is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she was captain of the school's Division 1 fencing team and a four-time NCAA All-American. Born just outside of Moscow, Dayana is fluent in Russian and immigrated to the United States at a young age. She now lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and their dog, Pushkin.
