Fausto Biloslavo is war correspondent for the Italian dailies Il Giornale, Il Foglio and Panorama. He began his career in 1982, reporting on conflicts in Afghanistan, Africa and the Far East. In 1987 he was captured and held prisoner in Kabul for 6 months. He was finally released only thanks to a personal plea by the then Italian President Francesco Cossiga. He has also produced TV reports for NBC, CBS, NDR, RAI, TSI and Antenna 3. He is the author of Prigioniero in Afghanistan (1989) and Le lacrime di Allah (2002).
