Gianni Minà is currently the editor of the Italian political quarterly Latinoamerica. In his long career he has created and presented numerous TV programmes such as L'altra domenica with Maurizio Barendson and Renzo Arbore, Blitz, Alta classe, La domenica sportiva, Zona Cesarini and Storie. He conducted interviews with Fidel Castro in 1987 and 1990 and produced the reportage-interview Maradona: non sarò mai un uomo comune (2001) on Diego Maradona. He has produced documentaries on many major sporting figures including Michel Platini, Ronaldo, Carlos Monzon, Edwin Moses, Pietro Mennea and Muhammad Ali. He is the author of numerous books including Il racconto di Fidel (1988), Un continente desaparecido (1995), Testimoni del tempo (1999), Un mondo migliore è possibile (2002) and Politicamente scorretto (2007).
