Article 19 Mexico and Central America

Iván Báez graduated in law from the FES-Acatlán (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) and is currently Programme Officer of Security and Protection at the Article 19 office for Mexico and Central America. He has been a researcher for the human rights programme of the UIA (Universidad Iberoamericaba) and teacher of human rights at the UCSJ (Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana). Speaker at national and international level, he has also taught classes for the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJN) and the Commission on human rights of the Federal District (CDHDF) among other institutions. Among his publications he co-authored Responsibility and repair, a human rights approach, Digest of recommendations made by the human rights protection bodies and Handbook of Bi-national justice. Regulatory framework for the protection of workers and migrant workers in Mexico and the United States.
