Joe Inwood is a Senior Field Producer for the BBC World Service, working mainly across the Middle East and Europe. He has covered the wars in Syria and Iraq, including their humanitarian consequences for the wider region. This work has twice been recognised by the AIB. He has also covered the migrant crisis around Europe and the Mediterranean. Working with the BBC’s Pashtu service, he produced the first deployment to reveal life under the Taliban in over a decade. He was also a series producer on the 100 Women season, which last year won a Gracie Award.
For over 10 years he worked as a reporter and filmmaker, specialising in finding new ways of storytelling. Over the past 2 years he has tried to combine 360 filmmaking with traditional news-gathering deployments. His Mosul From Above film is the most watched 360 film ever made by the BBC.
