Marwa Mahmoud is responsible for intercultural education at the Mondinsieme Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia. Born in Egypt, she arrived in Italy as a child with her parents. With a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from the University of Bologna, she has contributed to the Cultural Centre since 2004, initially as an educator and editor of journalistic projects. She is on the board of the National Coordinating Committee of New Generations and the Italian Istituto Cervi di Gattico. She writes for Piattaforma Infanzia and has been in the theatre project Madre migrante of Funzione Guerriera.
