Maxim Tucker

Maxim Tucker manages a portfolio of grants at the Open Society Foundations, supporting independent media and anti-corruption organisations in countries of the former Soviet Union. He was Kyiv correspondent for The Times during Ukraine’s ‘Revolution of Dignity’ and subsequent conflict with Russia, as well as a regular contributor to Newsweek, POLITICO, the BBC and NBC News. Prior to that he led Amnesty International’s campaigning on Ukraine and the South Caucasus. He is particularly interested in political satire, innovative approaches to engaging audiences, and efforts to expose and disrupt the transnational networks that facilitate authoritarian power.
