Renato Mazzoncini
Renato Mazzoncini has been CEO and Director General of the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group since December 2015.
Chairman of UIC (International Union of Railways) elected on 01 December 2016, he is also member of the European Management Committee of UIC Europe and member of CER (Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies) Management Committee.
Born in 1968 in Brescia, he is married with three children. He holds a degree in Electrical engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
He promoted the joint venture in Busitalia which still today binds Autoguidovie to the FS Group. As CEO of the two companies, he worked on the development and consolidation of the leading national operator of local public transport on road and underground.
In 2005 he closed a company joint venture agreement between Autoguidovie and the French public transport company Transdev (Caisse des Depots group), and represented Italy on the board until 2008.
His previous appointments include CEO of Busitalia (2012-2015), CEO and Chairman of Ataf Gestioni (2012-2015), CEO and Director General of Autoguidovie (Ranza group) and Transystem (Ansaldo Trasporti group).
