Roberto Santaniello is head of International Relations of the City of Milan, which is also in charge of Expo 2015. He previously worked at the European Commission, where he was a staff member of two Commissioners (Carlo Ripa di Meana at Environment, Antonio Ruberti at Technological Research and Training). He has written a variety of books and publications on European integration. The latest book, co-written with Pier Virgilio Datoli, is entitled C'eravamo tanto amati. Europa, Italia e poi? and has just been published.
