Viviana Mazza has been foreign correspondent of the Italian daily Corriere della Sera since 2006. She has lived in the United States and Egypt. She was reported from countries such as Syria, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria and the United States. In 2010, she won the Journalist Award Marco Luchetta Journalissm Award dedicated to children affected by war. Mondadori has published three of her books especially designed for children:Storia di Malala, Il bambino Nelson Mandela and, co-written with the Nigerian writer Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani,Ragazze Rubate on the girls abducted by Boko Haram.
