Alison Broddle

Alison Broddle is executive producer of digital content with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) based in Vancouver.

She began her career as a researcher and reporter in local news and current affairs. In 2002 she was part of the senior production team that launched CBC Radio's flagship morning program The Current where she worked for seven years, producing award-winning programs and international documentaries. She then spent six years as executive producer of radio, TV and online regional news in Vancouver, overseeing the integration of the three media lines, before shifting her focus entirely to digital content.

Alison currently oversees a team of writers, videographers, social media experts and editors writing and packaging stories, interactives and live events. She has given several presentations on the future of journalism and the opportunities and pitfalls of digital news.
