Rasmus Nielsen

Rasmus Kleis Nielsen is Director of Research at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford. His work focuses on changes in the news media internationally, political communication, and the role of digital technologies in both areas. He has written extensively in both academic and news media publications and is the author, editor, or co-editor of five books, including Grounds Wars: Personalized Communication in Political Campaigns (which won the 2014 Doris Graber Award for the best book on political communication published in the last ten years) and The Changing Business of Journalism and its Implications for Democracy (edited with David Levy). He is a frequent speaker at both academic and industry/professional events and edits the International Journal of Press/Politics, the premier academic journal of comparative research on the intersection between news media and politics.
