Alessandro Collina

Alessandro Collina began his piano studies under the guidance of his uncle Ubaldo Giardini and continued his studies in piano jazz in France, at the Nice Conservatory. He has worked with Gianni Basso, Luca Begonia, Emanuele Cisi, Claudio Capurro and Tom Kirpatrick. In 2006, 2007 and 2008 he took part in the quartet that accompanied Paul Jeffrey in Europe, in 2009 the band recorded the CD We see Monk tribute (Imago records). Also in 2009 he was invited by the brothers Luis and Philippe Petrucciani to play with them on the tenth anniversary of the death of Michel Petrucciani. He formed in 2010 the On Air brand with Rodolfo Cervetto and Marc Peillon and there followed the release of records for Egea with soloists Andy Gravish and Mike Campagna, Fabrizio Bosso, Max Ionata and Mattia Cigalini. In 2015, after a tour in Japan with trumpeter Mark Vezzoso, the live performance of the Osaka Festival was published.
