Abdulwahab Tahhan is a freelance researcher who focuses on media reporting about civilian casualties, airstrikes and refugees related issues. In 2012, Abdul was the production manager of the award winning documentary The Suffering Grasses about the Syrian refugees in Turkey. In 2016, Abdul joined the Refugee Journalism Project to help change the quality of reporting on two topics: refugees and Syria. He is now senior Syria researcher at Airwars where he monitors and assesses international air strikes and investigates civilian harm. Abdul is also doing his PhD in media studies at London College of Communications and at the same time working with MA students on a project about refugees, identities and integration.
