Antonella Napoli, a journalist since 1999, has written for Repubblica, Vanity Fair, Limes and Huffington Post. covering counties such as Lebanon, Syria, Myanmar, India, Uganda, the DRC, Sudan, the Central African Republic Repubblica and other African states. Her focus has been on humanitarian emergencies and human rights violations. She is founder and president of the Italians for Darfur association and is a board member of Articolo 21. With her 2008 reportage Andata e ritorno dall'inferno del Darfur she was a finalist of the Ilaria Alpi Award. In 2013 she received the Medaglia d'Oro di Rappresentanza from the Presidency of the Italian Republic.

She is the author of Volti e colori del Darfur (2008), Darfur, the colors of the hope (2013) and Il mio nome è Meriam (2015).
