Crofton Black is an investigator at the Bureau of Investigative Journalism in London. He is a researcher, journalist and writer with extensive experience of complex investigations in the field of human rights abuses and counter-terrorism. He is a leading expert on the CIA’s rendition, detention and interrogation programme and a specialist in military and intelligence corporate contracting. He is leading the Bureau's project on CIA Torture. He has a PhD in the history of philosophy from the University of London.
