Elsa Fornero

Elsa Fornero, an economist and academic expert in social security systems, is Honorary Professor of Economics at the University of Turin. She is on the scientific committee of the CeRP (Center for Research on Pensions and Welfare Policies) in Turin. From 2011 to 2013 she was Minister of Labor and Social Policies of the Monti Government. She was a member of the commission of expert evaluators at the World Bank, of the Scientific Committee of Confindustria, of the board of directors of the Italian Society of Economists and vice-chairman of the supervisory board of Intesa Sanpaolo. Her latest book is Chi ha paura delle riforme. Illusioni, luoghi comuni e verità sulle pensioni (2018).
