Marina Constantinoiu has worked as a journalist since 1990, the same year she started her studies of journalism at Bucharest University. She was focused on foreign affairs, but enlarged her professional area, covering different topics from the recent past including health, technology, media, gender equality, and climate change. She is a board member of SEEMO (South East Europe Media Organisation) and other professional bodies. She also teaches journalism at Bucharest University, Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication. She is Project Coordinator at editiadedimineata.ro, a multimedia news website. She has twice received international journalism awards for her work dedicated to a very delicate and complicated topic, the border-jumpers mass phenomenon during communism in Romania, involving Romanians and other East-Europeans from communist countries.
